Some information regards Covid-19 - updated June 2021

Here at Chalet Gove we are following the current guidelines set out by the Austrian Government, who are doing everything to ensure guests are kept safe during their winter or summer holiday.

Current requirements are for any guests staying with us to provide a certificate of either a negtive covid test, vaccination within the last 22 days or recovery in last 6 months. This is also a requirement for entry into any bar or restaurant.

There are local sites set up to provide free covid tests.

At the time of updating this on the 3rd June we have only 1 person recorded as COVID positive in the whole of the Lungau.

Some points to note:

We mostly have sole occupancy or same group bookings and will not mix more than two bookings.

We run the business ourselves so there are no other staff for guests to have contact with.

As with most Austrian businesses, cleanliness for us is a priority, we always clean all contact surfaces such as light switches, handles etc. on changeover day and because of the COVID-19 guidelines we will also now sanitise these surfaces.  

In the case of infection:

If anyone does develop symptoms whilst staying with us, we have a room put aside for them to self-isolate whilst we arrange for them to be tested.

If anyone does test positive, in agreement with the other guests in the house, they may stay here in self isolation and we will provide food and other things they require until their departure day. The alternative is that they move to specially set up accommodation which is being provided by all areas in Austria; there is a charge of 50 Euros a night for this.

It will be up to the individual to organise their own transport home.

The main hospital of the area is in Tamsweg less than 10 minutes by car from us, so for any illness or accident we can get to treatment very quickly.
