Self-drive and a summer holiday here at Chalet Gove can be as relaxing or exerting as you want it to be. You have the freedom to go where you please when you please.
We are here to provide the information you require, book activities and ensure you have nothing to do but enjoy your holiday.

Summer is beautiful here with all the houses decorated with flowers. We have plenty of sunshine and warm weather to enjoy, valleys and mountains to explore and plenty of mountain lakes and swimming pools to relax and cool off in. Our Lungau area is steeped in tradition and folklore and each week there is something taking place for visitors to experience and enjoy.

There is plenty to do here in the Lungau but with a car you could travel further afield and enjoy a day out in Salzburg or visit one of the lower Lake areas.

Here at Chalet Gove the thick stone walls of our house help to keep the inside cool and the nights are usually cool after the heat of the day, helping provide a good night’s sleep. Our south-facing garden provides a perfect place to sunbathe with beautiful views and take afternoon tea, with the gazebo providing cool shade or a little bit of warmth for you to sit out and enjoy the evening sunset.

From our doorstep we have a variety of walks, hikes and bike rides available and within 15 minutes’ drive away you have access to all the activities and attractions in the area. We can provide maps and advice and we also offer a guided walk and bike ride each week as part of our summer self-drive holiday.

Along with the traditional catered Chalet experience we are here to tailor your holiday to your needs, providing as much help and advice as required.

We will answer all the questions you have prior to confirming your booking, so that you can be sure we are the right place for your summer holiday.

For self-drive holidays we can accommodate varying lengths of stay, arrival and departure days, please just enquire.

Included in your price is …

• A comprehensive continental breakfast every morning of your stay.

• A three-course evening meal with complimentary wine and beer on five nights.

• A Homemade afternoon cake on six days day.

• Complimentary tea, coffee, cordial, and fresh fruit always available.

• The option to join a guided walk and /or bike ride (one of each offered during the week).

• Our help and advice to tailor the holiday to your requirements - booking activities, arranging bike hire, horse rides, walk information and maps etc.

• A Lungau Card per person (provides free or discounted entrance to all activities for example the swimming pools, castles & museums, plus free cable car tickets and discounts at some of the bars and restaurants).
